A quick note on the image:
I took this photo a while back during a hike. I came upon this scene and was blown away by how eery it was. This woman standing at the end of the dock, slowly letting these heart-shaped balloons go one at a time.. Watching them as they drifted away..
I quickly snapped a couple photos and left, trying not to disturb her. I do not know what was going on, or what it symbolized, but I felt like i was intruding..

Thank you so much. Yes, it was a really odd scene to have stumbled across. She stood there motionless.. Not sure if it was a lost love.. Child.. Something.. I felt like I was an intruder to something of importance..
I’m guessing this was not a happy thing she was doing. Too bad, but the shot is magnificent.

Very surreal, great capture. I can understand the concern over intruding, but for some reason you were meant to be there and capture that moment.
