Arrested..

Alright, not really arrested, but I did take a ride in the back of a police car. My never-boring life had yet another adventure this morning, and as always, I was ready with my camera..Arrested - Ryan Velting

My buddy Kevin (yes, Kevin, the rocket scientist friend of mine that answered his phone while flyfishing and dropped it in) and I are driving down the road this morning up in Muskegon, and suddenly he pulls to the side of the road. We’re out of gas.. Wonderful….

A few choice expletives later and we’re off, walking back to a gas station we could have gotten gas at as we passed, but didn’t.

It was further than we thought. Much further. Since it was a cold, I caved and flagged down a police car as he drove by. The nice officer brought us to the gas station, where we arrived looking like common criminals trapped in the back of the car. As he let us out, I jokingly said that since EVERYONE was staring at us, Kevin and I should get out and start running as fast as we could.. JAILBREAK!!! Still think we should have done it..

So he brought us back, and we were back on our way..

The rest of the day was mostly uneventful..

    Now this is funny. I agree you should have ran. Just tell the officer what you are going to do and why before you run…

    ha! When I said that we should get out and run, the officer started laughing and said that it would be funny. Didn’t seem like he even cared if we did it or not!!!

    Your police have more of a sense of humour than ours that’s for sure.

    Ha! I know!! We really should have. Knowing my luck though, I would have gotten chased down, and tackled by a bunch of onlookers trying to be “Mr. Hero”… Still would have been hilarious!
