Ok… SERIOUSLY here people…. First I have to start by saying that i have traditionally liked the Christmas season.. A Lot.. You could even say that I have always loved the holidays, as its usually one of my most favorite times of the year..

HOWEVER - Is it my imagination, or do they start playing the holiday music earlier and earlier every year??? Honestly. Its not even thanksgiving and I’ve been having to listen to one pathetic rendition of “Holly Jolly Christmas” after another.. I haven’t even been able to walk into a mall, grocery, or convenience store without being inundated by this horrible crap for well over a month. They might as well just play it year round. Heck, give its own dedicated radio station..

The main problem with holiday music is simple—- You Can’t Escape It…. You can’t.. Try as you may, it is inescapable and unavoidable. I made a quick stop to the store tonight and what i heard was absolutely horrific… An extra-crappy version of Feliz Navidad.. in TECHNO.. As if the original wasn’t bad enough.. I’d wear earplugs, but that would just look silly, would be rude to those around me should someone need to talk to me, and may pose as a safety concern while driving.

Perhaps all the personal crap going on in my life has put a bit of a damper on things this holiday season, but Techno Felize Navidad is where I draw the line.

My ears… I think they’re bleeding…
