For those who’ve visited in in the past you’ll notice its COMPLETELY different. For those of you who haven’t visited the site before, feel free to check it out any time at www.velting.net.
The site is not completely done, but its slowly getting there. I started it from scratch the day before yesterday, then ended up scrapping the whole thing, and started it all over again yesterday morning. Needless to say, many things will have to be fine-tuned, but overall I’m pretty pleased.
So, take a moment, check it out, and if you would, let me know if you have any suggestions. I’d love to hear your comments!!
Stumble it!

I like it, it has a portfolio feel to it, if that makes sense?
Went to a wedding fair the other week with my mate and some of the high end photographers had portfolios which had the same feel. Not as good though
The little one on the front is beautiful! My nephews are normally the only kids that i think that of.
Have you got any weddings in the pipeline? I would love to see some shots as i am bridesmaid next year.
Oh nearly forgot, glad you are not dead!

Awesome! The first portrait on your main page…she’s a doll. Gorgeous lil’ one.

Awesome! Really nice job, especially with the portfolio page. Did you do it all yourself?

First, we are all glad that you are okay. You were worrying is quite a bit…
Wow, it’s awesome. I love the look and it’s easy to move from section to section. Excellent. Your photography is beautiful.

I love it. Your old site was good too, but this one looks sleeker and more streamlined.
And I’m glad you weren’t struck down by the tick.

Well done.
I visited the old one only once, but this one strikes me as more professional.

Very nice… I especially like your color scheme. So many don’t care that white on black is so hard to read and the solution is so simple as your site demonstrates.
Kudos!

Great redesign. I like the black and white design which shows off your photography nicely.
How about some comments on each photo — maybe why you took the photo or if any special techniques you use or special notes.
I notice there’s a blog link - does this mean you’ll move this blog to that site?
Good luck

Well I like it! And I actually spend the majority of my work day looking at graphic designers websites. It is simple, but very stylish. Very high end
Great job!

Hey everyone!!
Man things have gotten busy the last week or so!! So many things to do, so little
moneytime to do them…Thank you for all your feedback. I still have a LOT of work to do on it, and hopefully within the next week will have it all done.
Claire - yup, have two weddings coming up, and am working on a really big project at the moment, along with the regular stuff. Oh, and I am glad I’m not dead too!!! :]
Crookedeyebrow - Thank you! I’ve sort-of fallen into the portrait field. I’ve generally always done mainly wildlife, nature, and landscapes, but have recently gotten hired to do some portrait work, and have really enjoyed it.
Hey John! Yup, I’ve done all the work on the site myself, all from scratch. :] HTML, CSS, and Java can be a real pain in the butt sometimes!
Thank you Comedy! That was really the goal with the new site - simplify. The “old” site had just grown too complex and cluttered, and I found it took away from the photos. Thanks so much for the input, and the nice comments. I’m appreciative and flattered.
Hi Riley. Thank you. I’m really glad you like it. Oh, and my tick wound has healed and you can’t really tell it was ever there.. :]
Thanks Star! Its slowly getting there, I have a lot more work ahead of me…
JC, ahh yes, the ole’ white text on black background. Kinda hurts the eyes, huh? I wanted a darker background, so decided on a deep charcoal grey (#191919) with very lite grey text (#CCCCCC). Seems much easier on the eyes! Thanks so much for the input.
Hey Lissa. Thank you very very much for the suggestions. As I fine-tune the site, and if space and layout is suitable, I may have to add a bit of information for the images, or maybe for some of them. Great suggestion!
Thanks again to everyone that has visited the new site, and for all the great feedback and suggestions. I greatly appreciate your input.

Shaz, yup, got rid of that tick, and so far so good, no tell-tale signs of infection or strange disease.. :0] Thank you for the feedback on the site, so glad you like it.
Hey Kai!! I’m happy you like the new site. I have a lot more work to do on it, and hopefully it will look even better when completed, but so far I have to say I like it better as well. Like you mentioned, I just wanted it much simpler and less cluttered than before, and it certainly seems to be.
Thank you for the feedback and all the comments.
I’m grateful.

Will you ask your wedding clients if you can use some images for your site?
Everything sounds exciting but hard work! No clues on big project?
Logan // May 12, 2007 at 11:44 pm
Hey Ryan, I doubt you remember me, But a couple years back, You were at a lan party for Some guys, And we met there, I think we played something like Counter-strike. Anyways, How ya been?

Greta pictures Ryan. I like the site. The pictures of the little girl are really good - especially the one of her with the ducks. Are there really three little girls or is that one picture enhanced like the one posted a bit back here? I wish I had a photographer like you around here to take pictures of my girls!
