  Hmm I think it’s just fine personally. But if you want to change it, I’ve got no ideas. I’m horrible at naming things. lol

  I’m not sure it needs a name change Ryan.

  It sounds good, it’s not descriptive, it can mean anything you want it to mean.

  If you can think of anything way better, go for it, but otherwise…

  Hey guys. Thanks for the feedback.

  I guess there’s really nothing wrong with the name.. The only thing I was thinking was that things in my life aren’t quite in the “Calamity” category as they were when I first started (and subsequently named the blog) a couple months ago..

  If the consensus is that the name is ok guy by you guys, its ok with me.. :]

  I think the name is fine. Besides, anyone who isn’t at least a little depressed has just lost total touch with reality.

  I like the name. While it may not be exactly as descriptive as it was in the beginning, it’s still unique and different.

  I agree with the others - I think it’s just fine! The ‘calamity’ part can stand for whatever you want it to. If you’re worried about it having a negative connotation, don’t. I don’t see that it way at all!

  I like the name too, day to day life can be a calamity. But how you deal with it changes.
  I could think of a few but not sure you would like them! they may attract the wrong audience!lol!

  Good luck, I like Calamity, but it brings to mind each time, Calamity Jane from the Wild West and you are not a Jane. Haha

  Hi Ryan! If you MUST change the name, please DON’T go with Ryan’s Ramblings-there must be a thousand Ramblings out there! Although I do think a second word beginning with an R would be good.

  Two cents and alternative views from someone who just stumbled upon your blog (by way of a comment you left on another blog…!):

  1) It’s your blog so you can name it whatever you want.

  2) “Ryan’s calamity” isn’t a name that would make me interested in checking out a blog and doesn’t seem to be a good description of your blog’s (latest) contents. So it might not help you attract the readers that the blog deserves.

  I am not good this since I recently changed to greeblemonkey after obsessing for months, promised my husband I would shut up - but I am still not entirely happy. I will say I had a similar conversation with hubby a you mention above, because I was considering “aimzoo” but my life really isn’t a “zoo” per se… like you were saying yours really isn’t a calamity. Personally, I am not a ramblings, or a double R or double V fan myself either. But I just found this blog and really have no business commenting either way, LOL. If you stay with your current name, I would go make sure ryanscalamity.com is available…
