Ok, so I’ll admit it.. Once in a while, I enjoy watching the TV show “Cops”.

Although I often thought about becoming a police officer as a kid, I’ve come to the conclusion that the real reason I like the watching the show, is because it serves as a reminder to me that my life really isn’t all that screwed up..

Watching some drunk toothless hillbilly try to outrun a dozen police cars in his half-broken-down 1963 Chevy Silverado, even after they’ve used the spike strips on his tires, thinking he actually may have a chance is just so damned funny to me.. I don’t know why.. You know he is going to wreck, and then get caught, and of course he’ll swear up and down insisting that he “only had one beer” while barely being able to stand, then will proceed to get thrown into the cop car and hauled off to jail where he’ll make a big fuss about being “wrongly accused”.. You know what’s going to happen before it even starts.. Kinda like watching the movie Titanic.. The end is inevitable.. (and no, never did really like that movie all that much, its just the first analogy that came to mind).

So, whenever you need a little reminder that your life really isn’t so bad, tune into “Cops”..

Every time I watch the show, I end up feeling like, “Hey, my life really isn’t all that messed up after all..”
