Happy Valentines Day..

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!! Sorry for posting yet another picture tonight… This is not my “Wordless Wednesday” posting (see below for that). This is just my way of saying Happy Valentines Day to all that are important in my life, and to all my readers. I really do appreciate you all taking time out of your day to stop by and read my blog.

To sidestep a few questions here - Nope, no photoshop tricks here. I took this photo tonight by simply standing a red filter (used for B&W photography) on end in the center of a magazine, in this case a rather old photo magazine I had laying around.. A remote flash unit (Nikon SB-600) was placed to flash down onto the filter, casting the red shadow and creating the “heart”.

Have a great Valentines Day everyone!

Stumble it!

That’s just lovely, it’s almost magic :) Looking though your images is humbling and inspirational at the same time… there are so many possibilities (but I have no idea how to achieve them).

Thank you for introducing me to Wordless Wednesdays (although I’m struggling with the wordless bit as you may have noticed).

:), I too struggle with the whole “wordless”aspect.. Oh well.. I think its more or less a “suggestion”, or at least thats the way I take it. :]

I’m continually flattered by your kind comments. Thank you so much.

Yea! I noticed it was a filter before I read your explanation. And, as usual, very well done.

Absolutely Genious! I’m glad you posted on how you created the photo, cause I wasn’t so smart & didn’t notice the filter until after you pointed it… absolutely fabulous!

  • Ryan // Feb 14, 2007 at 8:29 pm

Tami, thank you so much. I think I saw something similar done quite a long time ago, but never gave it a try myself until last night, and figuring its valentines day and all, well, had to try it.. :]
