My apologies to my international readers as a lot of you are from around the globe and do not typically celebrate the 4th of July, but I haven’t posted a whole lot lately, and thought I’d do a quick play-by-play of what I did on Independence Day..
The Grandville parade in the morning was great, where tens of thousands of people show up every year to pay respect to the service men and women who so bravely serve our country, and celebrate our freedom. Military trucks, firetrucks, and even an Air Force fighter jet fly-over are just a few of the highlights of the parade.. The girls loved it and left with a LOT of candy..
After the parade, we packed up and went to my friend Bryan’s parents to spend the afternoon on the lake with his family and friends. We grilled hotdogs, went tubing behind the boat (which I’m STILL extremely sore from), played water volleyball (my team won of course ;] ), and ate some more..
As it got darker the fireworks started. The girls had fun doing sparklers, and then we all went down to the lake to watch the fireworks. There’s nothing like watching fireworks over water.. With the girls getting tired, we packed up the truck and went home..
I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July! A heartfelt “thank you” to all of our military men and women who have served, and for those who are currently serving and find themselves in harms way. We are eternally grateful for your service and sacrifice. May God continue to bless the United States of America.
Stumble it!

Wow, you are a lucky man with those three cute girls. You must be counting your blessings.

Wow, you guys did a lot more stuff than me and my crew — we lazed around and did nothing at all! Of course, the weather here was really lousy — looks like you had a fantastic day.

Hi Art, thanks for stopping by!!!! ;]
Hey Riley! Yeah, it was a great day. A bit on the warm side in the low to mid 90’s, and the morning was pretty overcast, but late afternoon it cleared up and lake helped everyone keep cooled down. :]
