iPod Must Have..

Being as portable as it is, I love using my iPod while running, working out, sleeping (I plug it into speakers next to my bed), and just while out and about.. Only thing missing was a way to use it in my Jeep..

There are countless options for wireless FM transmitters out there. Some send the signal to the radio, some do this while charging the iPod (great for roadtrips), and others have a cradle which you drop the iPod into, and away you go..

I keep a soft case on my iPod which attaches to my armband for working out, so the cradle option was out of the question as I’d have to take the iPod out of the case every time I wanted to use it in my truck. PITA.. I also knew that I wanted one that would charge the iPod while using it.

Being the king nerd that I am, I did a lot of research before actually purchasing one, and settled on the Griffin iTrip Auto. It charges the iPod while in use, supposedly has very good signal clarity, and is a little less expensive than many of the others. So my decision was made. I started looking around..

Best Buy, Circuit City and every other rip-off electronics store (don’t get me started on Best Buy) are selling it for around $70.. Even eBay was around that price So I went to one of my favorite places for camera gear, B&H Photo - only $34.95. Buy it Here at B&H Photo.

Sure, I had to wait TWO WHOLE DAYS (being sarcastic here) for its arrival, but for half the price…. Sweeeeet….

Bottom line is that it really does work great. I plugged it in and within 30 seconds had it set up and was able to listen to my music with very good clarity - nearly CD quality (sure beats having to burn disks all the time..

Think I may have to go for a late night road trip….

Stumble it!
