Quick Update..
Yes, I know, I’ve been horrible at keeping you all updated. Fact is, not all that much to update you on!! Here’s a few photos from the past 5 weeks after the accident, showing a little of the progression of healing.
Yes, I know I look ridiculous! This was shortly after surgery. I felt miserable, and looked it too.. It’s been a while, so mocking me about my “bandage turban” is fair game!! =)
In my hospital room, still in a good amount of pain. Not a very happy camper at this point..
At home recovering. The reality of how awful I looked and felt was slowly sinking in. The swelling was going down a little, but a lot of pain was really setting in.
Need I remind you how terrible it was before?? The surgeons really did an amazing job. I am truly so very fortunate! And yes, I know, I still look horrible here..
Well, this was taken a couple weeks ago, and although you can’t see my face very well, and it’s difficult to see my ear in this photo, I’m looking and feeling much better. I still have scars along my face next to my eye, and likely will have for quite some time, but I certainly look and feel much more myself.
Thanks again to everyone for all the thoughts, prayers, emails, comments, and calls.. I’m lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. =)

Yay! You are looking so good, it’s amazing, and I’m so happy for you! Again, I am so grateful that your eye was okay. With the close ups it makes me even more grateful since you can see that you almost lost it, I know you know it cause you mentioned it before. Just so happy!

Hi Ryan!! I am so glad you are getting better with each day! I have a little scar below my eye too, my sister hit me with a cycle when I was younger. it adds character to me, lol. Have a great weeken end!!
