Beautiful photograph and great subject. I *almost* posted a photo of the memorial flag that was presented to me when my parents were inurned at Arlington National Cemetary, because every memorial flag also represents a broken heart. Blessings on your weekend, and welcome to Photo Hunt.

Welcome to the photo hunt.
This is a stunning photo of an equally stunning and thought provoking memorial in DC. My daughter tells me the Holocaust museum is haunting and a must visit as well.

srp, thank you for the nice comment on the photo. The Holocaust museum is very interesting to visit. I also had the opportunity to visit the Holocaust museum in Jerusalem. That was unbelievable..

I believe you capture the spirt of the quest admirably. I don’t think I’ve seen a better picture on any blog.

This one made me tear up. My dad is a Vietnam Vet and some 30 years later he’s still fighting that war. We’ve had to endure it too - living it through him. This picture is just overwhelmingly powerful.

I’m deeply flattered that you found the photo powerful. Thank you so much for the wonderful comment.
