Ya know, nothing as a photographer is quite as rewarding as selling a print.. Working so hard to create something, slaving over it almost to the point of obsession and often well beyond. Then it happens.. Often out of the blue, but suddenly, inevitably, it happens. Someone actually wants to BUY a photo that I’ve taken. A photo that I have spent so much time and energy on. A photo I’ve poured my heart and soul into creating.. And it still catches me off-guard.

It never ceases to amaze me, the feeling I get that somehow its all worth it.. All the sleepless nights chasing storms wanting to capture that perfect bolt of lightning.. The hours spent changing my lighting for a photo that only takes 1/100th of a second to expose.. Ruining camera gear in rain and snow..

But then it happens. Someone sees in an image what I saw. Someone finds meaning, or perhaps a lost memory, in an image I’ve created. Someone likes it enough that they’re willing to pay to have it printed, mounted, matted, and often shipped across the country, or halfway around the world so they too may enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.

To all of you who have enjoyed my photos, and to all those that may enjoy them in the future, thank you.
