I originally started this site as a place for me to vent, have a bit of fun, and share one of my greatest passions - photography. Since I launched the site and moved it to its current home at RyanVelting.com at the first of the year, it has become much more than just a place to write the occasional rant, or to post a weekly photo. It’s been a great opportunity to meet people from around the world, to learn, sometimes to inform, and to share a bit of life’s ups and downs.

Much to my surprise, a great many of you tune in quite regularly to find out what, if anything, is new with me…

Not willing to commercialize the site with flashing banner ads, but always looking for ways to subside the expense of running the site, I have taken the step to add a very selected group of sponsors.

In the sidebar to the right, you’ll notice a new “Ryan’s Sponsors” section. This section will likely morph a bit over the months to follow, but will only include companies that I personally trust to be of the highest quality - businesses that I would recommend to my own friends. These companies will be largely photography related, as well as those who sell computer hardware and other things that personally interest me.
