Shoot Me.. Please..

So today I get a nice little text message saying that my cell phone bill is now due and ready to be viewed online.. Oh, fantastic, how very nice of them.. And what do I owe for this month do you ask??? $420 Dollars and 72 Cents…… Holy Crap..
Mother - I love you, but do not call me anymore. Unless it’s after 9 o’clock, when my “free nights and weekends” thing kicks into effect..

Jamie - Love ya, but we will have to have our several hour long conversations - you guessed it, after 9 p.m..

Grandma and Aunt Marilyn - please refer to the above recommendations for call times.

Bill Collectors (now including Verizon Wireless) - Just stop calling.. Seriously. I will pay you when I am able. And please, for the love, try if you would to call after 9…..

All others - Call at will. But please do not be surprised if I do not answer. Be less surprised when your phone rings at 9:01…

Stumble it!

Oh dear! I had a bit of phone trouble a few years back as well. I let my sister-in-law stay at my apartment for a few months, ’cause I had just gotten married and was in the process of moving into my hubby’s place. I set her up a screen name on my AOL account so she wouldn’t get too bored, and she met some kid in Massachusetts that she apparently HAD to talk to on the phone. He didn’t want his PARENTS to know he was calling Michigan, so she says, just call collect! My total bill for all that was upwards of $3,000. I almost passed out when I saw it.

If it is any consolation, we have all been through this with a new cell phone account. My kids text-messaged me practically into the “poor house” (well, not really, but don’t tell them that) and I had to lay down the law. If I could give you some of the 4,000 or so minutes I currently have rolled over, I would! Seriously, you need to look into a different plan. I have nationwide calling, unlimited evenings and weekends, etc. and the monthly rate for 4 phones is quite reasonable. Sounds like you need to have a serious discussion with your carrier about your minutes, etc.

    Good luck!
