I just got done telling a friend this past week that I never get sick, but when I do, I get REALLY sick. So today, having difficulty breathing and not even being able to swallow water, I went to the Med Center. Yup. Strep throat. Have never had it before, but this is seriously the WORST I have ever felt in my life. I think I’d rather break a leg or something like that.
So I’m on pain medication, steroids, and Penicillin.
Sorry that I did not get around to posting a photo for yesterdays Photo Hunt. I really wanted to, but I’ve literally been in bed all day and all day yesterday..
I will catch up with all the comments and emails in the next couple days. Sorry to everyone!

That really stinks! Get plenty of rest and I hope you feel better soon. Eat lots of popsicles!

Its must be bad if you would rather break a leg, urggh.

Awww, that’s rough. Although I’ve never had it, my youngest daughter was sick with strep a couple years ago - I’ve never seen her so sick - she barely moved for two days!
Make sure to keep hydrated, that’s your worst enemy. You’ll feel better when the penicillin kicks in - trust a Mom on this one

:) Yes, It just came on so suddenly and has been truly miserable.. The doctor said that children seem to have a much easier time with it than us “old folks”.. Within literally a few hours I went from being just a tad bit tired to feeling like I was dying.. I could not even swallow water..
The pain killers the doctor prescribed seem to be doing the trick, as are the steroids he gave me, and like you said, hopefully within the next couple days the penicillin will work its magic.

strep always seems to hit adults much worse than kids. not sure exactly why though.

It seems like you are feeling better by your more recent posts but I still wanted to send some good wishes your way! Strep throat is NO fun and I can absolutely sympathize. Lots of fluids and sleep!! Hope you’re getting better.
