I just love the color. And the yellow lillies just pop out at you.

Beautiful Beautiful Color!
Ryan // Feb 7, 2007 at 1:00 am
Thank you Brian and Tami.
I took this at sunset up on the Tahquamenon River in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, on the last trip I was able to take with my Grandfather before he passed away last April. He was the one who, when I was a boy, first got me interested in photography.. The image is a bit special to me..
Thank you for visiting..

This one’s intriguing, Ryan. I like it - it took me a moment to get my orientation, but then it starts to make sense. It works even better with the larger alternative.
12 lilies. Man, I could stare at this for a year…

Hey Rory, I am so glad you like it! Personally, I love photos that don’t just “self-explain” when first looking at them. I love a photo that I have to study for a moment before it makes sense to me.. I’m glad it had this effect to you.
I am so very flattered at your comment.
Thank you my friend.

Thank you Amy. It sure is…

Wow. beautiful shot. I especially like the colours. It took me a second or two to figure out that it was a reflection in a pond or lake of some sort
Ryan // Feb 7, 2007 at 2:11 am
Thank you Rav’n. This was taken alongside a river one evening as the sun was setting, and was a beautiful reddish color. I loved how the lillies stood out against the color of river.
Thanks again. Means a lot.

Wow. Very stunning. I love the reflection of the trees on the water.
Rav`N // Feb 7, 2007 at 3:08 am
A river. wow. Must have been a somewhat slow moving one. The reason I thought it was a pond or lake was because the reflection of the trees is so clear. And lilles don’t normally grow in very fast moving water

That’s a stunning shot. I can understand how special it is to you since it was taken during your last trip with your grandfather. My condolences.
Great shot.

That is stunning because of the color. Very unusual and striking.
I can understand why it would be sentimental, too. Thanks for sharing it.

Beautiful shot.
It was my Grandad’s birthday yesterday and he died 7 years ago. He was mad on photography and he was the first person to have a camcorder and computer in whole family.

The color in this shot is amazing! I love your shots. They always make you take time to truly look at them.

That’s so great that you can carry on your Grandfather’s passion for photography. You definitely have the talent for it!

Wow! What great coloring. The purple is so calming after a bad day with children.
Kai // Feb 21, 2007 at 3:04 am
Very nice. It reminds me of a little lake we have outside of town here - called ‘Mirror Lake’ - aptly named as you’re almost always guaranteed a beautiful reflection.
margaret // Mar 22, 2007 at 6:26 pm
Wow, how did I miss this one? I love the purplish color.
