Sorry, posting this a couple hours early as I’m not sure I’ll be around at midnight!

    Have a great WW everyone!!!!!

    Ryan :)

Another goodie. I just love your pics. Happy Wednesday to you.

  • Rebecca // Mar 6, 2007 at 8:55 pm

Well, well, well, Mista V. I’d say something here about “great minds” and all that, but why state the obvious?

Something about pines in snow that begs for B&W, isn’t there?

    Beautiful.

  • Ryan // Mar 6, 2007 at 8:58 pm

Yes, there certainly is! I agree wholeheartedly.. :]

    And thank you as always.

  • Linda // Mar 6, 2007 at 9:02 pm

I feel like I should be reading “Hansel and Gretel” or something when I see pictures like this. Absolutely gorgeous picture!

I’m up early, too, as I work double shifts on Wednesdays and go to bed before midnight!

  • Janet // Mar 6, 2007 at 10:40 pm

Very peaceful. I want to come back a look at it again after a frantic day at work.

  • anyhow // Mar 6, 2007 at 10:52 pm

Ryan, I’m glad to announce that with a new (and working) scanner, some of my work with my (stolen) Canon T-90, and my (dead) EOS Elan 7E are now available and 4 shots are up today (hurriedly). More and better things to come. BTW now working with a Rebel Digital and kinda missing print film.

I know how you did this one! I know how you did this one!

You took a picture of one tree outside your window. And then, with photoshop…

  • Ryan // Mar 7, 2007 at 12:31 am

    Ha ha… Smart-ass.. I should have known.. :-]

No, this was just a straight shot with not really any editing..

Have a great day my friend.

  • Rory // Mar 7, 2007 at 12:46 am

It’s lovely, Ryan. Crisp and clear. I love how you get no real sense of the branches, making it all so vertical. Evenly spaced, and then multiplying into the distance. But contrasted with the fall of the shadow…

    Much to love.

I’m not a screensaver user, but I think I’ll download yours just to have a batch of your photos for keeps.

  • Ryan // Mar 7, 2007 at 12:50 am

Thank you so much as always Rory. I too rarely use screensavers, but made the Landscapes screensaver available since I received some requests. :]

This is one of the photos in the Screensaver.. :)

for some reason, i think of narnia…

    cool

  • Ryan // Mar 7, 2007 at 12:55 am

Hi Michael! (sorry about the delay - your comment for some reason got caught in my filter)..

Yes, making the move from print film is a bit daunting at first, but you will soon realize the cost benefits (especially if you shoot as much as I do) and the simplified digital workflow!!

I’ will swing by and have a look.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment!

  • Ryan // Mar 7, 2007 at 1:02 am

Hey Amy! Narnia.. Have not thought of that, but now that you say that… :]

    Thank you Amy!

  • Kai // Mar 7, 2007 at 1:39 am

Beautiful! Another amazing photo. Such wonderful lines with the trees and the shadows. A wonderful, peaceful scene.

  • incog & nito // Mar 7, 2007 at 4:36 am

    Lovely shot. Happy WW

  • Waspgoddess // Mar 7, 2007 at 5:31 am

This photo really speaks to me (wordlessly of course) There is something about pine trees that I just love, they are magnificently gloomy and magical.

They make me think of Sweden where you can drive for hours and hours and not see anything but pine trees and the occasional lake.

  • Brian // Mar 7, 2007 at 8:26 am

Stunning picture as always. The shadows are amazing.

  • Gattina // Mar 7, 2007 at 9:28 am

They haven’t been seeded by the wind, for sure !

  • Katie // Mar 7, 2007 at 9:30 am

Love the picture as always…it looks like a really peaceful place. Looking at it you can almost sense the quiet. It seems like you live in a really beautiful area unless you are traveling far and wide for these amazing shots!

PS~ Completely feel your pain with the strep throat now. I have some sort of a virus that is basically prohibiting me from swallowing or breathing…I feel like death warmed up! Ugh, it’s no fun at all.
